Do you what??? I think President Bush could come out tomorrow, and say he has changed his mind, that he wants a fence built, and NO talk of amnesty or a guest worker program...
And Congress STILL wouldn't pass a bill.
Not only that....but, he would STILL be blasted here, and everywhere else...this man has been vilified for just about everything that has gone wrong, or not gone right, in the world, since 2000...and nothing is going to change that except time.
History may be much kinder than even his contituents are on him...because no matter what good he has done, so many people, even Republicans, conservatives, freepers are so quick to believe the worst about him, that it does him no good to try to defend himself against every MSM report or editorial, or digruntled ex-CIA guy/girl...
You couldn't be more wrong. I voted for Bush twice, contributed to him and support him on almost every issue except immigration. I suspect a lot of others do too.
Let him do just that and watch his support go through the roof. Hell, even Frist is starting to turn.
Not only that....but, he would STILL be blasted here, and everywhere else...this man has been vilified for just about everything that has gone wrong, or not gone right, in the world, since 2000...and nothing is going to change that except time.
Not everybody here. Shoot, I supported his nominating Harriet Miers, I thought she deserved the chance to be brought before the committee. I took a beating for supporting him in that. And now, suddenly, I'm a Bush basher. lol
I'm afraid if he doesn't change his stance on this illegal alien issue, history will be able to point to the exact moment in time where he failed this country and it won't be kind.
