Dobbs to President: Do you take us for fools?
CNN.com ^ | May 10 2006 | Lou Dobbs

Posted on 05/10/2006 3:11:28 PM PDT by Reagan Man

NEW YORK -- Reports this week that the Border Patrol is notifying the Mexican government of the locations of Minutemen volunteers are being denied by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. True or not, the Bush administration continues to follow absurd policies on both issues of border security and illegal immigration.

President Bush continues to push his guest worker program and amnesty for anywhere between 11 million and 20 million illegal aliens, and he insists still that nothing less than what he calls comprehensive immigration reform is acceptable.

And the lies keep coming from both political parties. This president is not enforcing the immigration laws enacted by Congress, and this Congress is failing in its duty of oversight to demand that those laws be followed.

Only a fool, Mr. President, Sen. Kennedy, Sen. McCain, would believe you when you speak of new legislation. You don't enforce the laws now.

Bush never changed his opinions on immigrations. He has always favored a "guest worker program" since he ran in 2000. This is nothing new.

Like I asked before, are you for or against amnesty?

Go ahead and admit that you're for it.

Couldn't have said it better myself. There is only one logical explanation here....he truly is an open borders, globalist kind of guy.

Absolutely he is. And what Bush is reluctant to state in plain English (except in Oprah-esque platitudes about "hard working people" etc.), his muy buen amigo Mexican President Fox is perfectly willing to state in plain Spanish. For example, in a speech he gave in Spain May 16, 2002, Fox spoke of the need for a type of "European Union" embracing Mexico, the US and Canada to be formed in the next quarter century, in particular the importance of "freedom of movement of capital, assets, services and persons" between the US and Mexico (la libertad de movimiento de capitales, bienes, servicios y personas). Fox boldly states the agenda in Spanish that dares not speak its name in English.

"Borders? We don't need no stinkin' borders!"

Fool you twice, shame on you.

Respecting 90, have you been to Mexico? Is that the culture you wish USA to become? Isn't it true, or disabuse me using facts, that increasing a population disproportionately with a group who's culture is different from the one they are entering is the definition of dilution? That is exactly why invasion of a foreign power is proscribed by the constitution and the President's oath of office.

Respecting 97, first, everything you cited is actually entertaining to watch happen to such good and deserving servants of the American people. Secondly, the GOP actually perform much better as conservatives when pressed to actually take conservative positions. The GOP will counter attempts to raise taxes as the American people, to a great extent, have learned that high tax rates cause economic slumps. And finally, the person that will most benefit from such rancor is Rush. His radio show does so much better when the Democrats are in power.

A guest worker program and amnesty for millions of illegal invading aliens is pure unadulterated globalism and pledges allegiance to no nation but only to the almighty dollar, regardless of what party or what politician is guilty of supporting such action.

Obviously, you didn't like may answer because it is factually correct, isn't it? You can say yes, you can, it only makes you a better person for admitting the truth.

A stupid person is not me, but you may look into the mirror to see one. I tried to improve you from the status of ignorant, and you didn't learn. Maybe you are indeed the stupid one on these threads.

The Presidents speech indicates the govt has increased it's efforts at worksite enforcement. We ALL know it's a lie with only 3 employers fined in 2005 for the hiring of illegals, the loest in modern history.

Why is the President trying to deceive the people on the govts real efforts in border security and preventing illegal employment?

Most of those "12 million workers" are part of the underground economy and the federal government statistics don't count activity in the underground economy. That's been part of this growing problem. Why pay Americans to do the work, when you can cut corners and pay illegals a lot less to get the job done.

Btw, Dobbs doesn't mention anything about deportation. In fact, there has been no outcry to get the Feds involved in a mass deportation effort. Securing the borders and enforcing employer sanctions will kick-start a self-deportation of illegals.

>>>>>Why is the President trying to deceive the people on the govts real efforts in border security and preventing illegal employment?

Even though its part of our national security, I don't believe Bush really cares about illegal immigration. The borders remain wide open and over one million illegals enter the US every year. Before 9-11, Bush`s support for a guest worker-amnesty program was well documented. If, as Bush says, things changed on 9-11, why hasn't US immigration policy changed? Why haven't th4e Feds secured the US borders from criminals and terrorists alike?

Truth is, whether its pandering for Hispanic votes, or making sure the flow of cheap labor for businesses continues unabated, this President supports open borders. Its part of Bush`s one world globalist policy. Believe it.

So after these people all leave, who we going to get to replace them? Some of these jobs are pretty vital to our economy.

Calm down.

A lot of things in America are vital to our economy. Supply and demand and economic conditions have always dictated employment requirement standards. Adjustments will be made. There are plenty of Americans willing to do the work being done today by illegals. American employers will have to pay the going rate.

I'm more concerned about America's national security, then I am about paying a little more for produce. And the rich will have to hire legal aliens to do their gardening and other housework.

Once the borders are secured and employers stop hiring illegals, a fair temporary foreign worker program can be set up to handle our extra manpower requirements.
