Strong Hint to All:

Knock it off now or this thread will be pulled again and could possibly lead to a few time outs for some.

Thank you,

...you think "the populace arose to chasten" the South at Fort Sumter?

No. They founded the Republican Party, because the other parties refused to address the issue of slavery. Sound familiar?

United States presidential election, 1856.

The Republicans crusaded against the Slave Power, while the Democrats warned the Republicans were extremists whose victory would lead to civil war. The newly formed Republican Party condemned the Kansas-Nebraska Act and expansion of slavery, while Democrats took more of a laissez-faire approach to slavery expansion, taking the official position that it was a state-by-state decision.

Keep reading the 14th Amendment - also, I have plenty of cases that hold Due Process and other rights to the "people" apply to illegal aliens as well - sorry you don't think they are people.

For what it is worth, I am against this. Cut back $100 billion in pork and increase the size of the border patrol. Don't make the military do the policeman's job.

W sends troops to the border, we all think " Gee whiz! He really is serious about border / illegal alien control ", his guest worker - amnesty for all bill is signed into law, troops removed from border a short time later.

Very succintly, I think that's what will happen. This brings to mind Bush's support of the Anti-Gay Marriage Amendment during the 2004 election, then the quick abandonment after the election. Once Jorge Arbusto has gotten what hes wanted, he leaves his supporters hanging. I imagine Bush as Colin Farrell and his supporters as the starstruck young girl not knowing their being used.

Of course they're people. They're just not the people referred to in the 14th Amendment.

If Howlin is a "Protected Poster" here I will drop my membership in FR post haste.

Howlin had a role in exposing the Dan Rather case. She is protected. Because Spiff protests against code pink at Walter Reed, he gets a degree of protection too. Personally, I will post against spiff only with great reservations.

That rant is just something most of you say when you haven't anything else to say.

Some of us here aren't hell bent on destroying the GOP. Live with it.

Get stuffed. Your rants are personal attacks and if that is protected on FR it is a d@mn shame. I'd like to hear from Jim Robinson on the topic of "protected status" if it means "the lower class membership" can't voice our opinions without the ad hominem attacks and feel intimidated in responding to such garbage. Jim, if that's true I do not belong here, just let me know. As for destroying the GOP, it appears it needs little help from us freepers. It's doing a great job all by itself. Geeeese.

Then why don't you ask him personally?

You all sound like a bunch of whiney liberals, blaming your problems on other people.
