This is sick. Spreading fairy tales about how wonderfully things work out if women whose husbands beat them don't take the kids and leave, and just pray a lot instead, is very harmful. Plenty of women and their children have ended up dead due to believing garbage like this.

Exactly. It's basically saying women who don't put up with being cheated on and beaten are bad wives and mothers.
It is not a fairy tale. It is the history of the mother of one the Christian church's greatest theologians of all time.
