Let's try some facts on for size. Illegals compromise LESS than 3.7 % (three point seven percent) of the American labor force.

Well, for me, it isn't the work force I'm bothered by. I'm more concerned about the percent of welfare, free education, crime rates and free hospital visits that ultimately close hospitals down. Can you share those statistics?

Not it at all, sorry; but, nice try. The problem is that W is trying to wrap this into an amnesty in attempt to keep businesses in business with illegal labor - paying nothing and undermining the economy. This is the way republicans get rich and ensure their riches when breaking the law. Dims too. But at least the Dims try to hide it. Pubs just make naively transparent excuses that infuriate the average voter. Go figure. Third party time. Impeach the Globalist wonk.

Well said!

He got us two fine Supreme Court Judges.

He got us two? NO NADA! Us conservatives got him one to replace a moderate. The next nominee is the crucial one & WE conservatives, if we get the chance, will have to do the real influencing to get a true conservative on board. The chances are 1-5. Mark it down.

But he didn't do that tonight, did he?

Nope.

Far from it.

Very far from it. It was weak and it was demagogic.

"Everyone here who threatens to sit out the next election CASTS A VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT. Everyone who breathings a third party vote VOTES FOR A DEMOCRAT." What a load of crap. Utilizing your rationale I can assume you're in favor of continued lawlessness of illegal aliens, giveaway social programs, government controlled education simply because a Republican President has forced this crap on us. Voting for a Republican is voting for Dem-lites. Stop being a party hack and be a conservative for once in your life. "We got virtually everything we want: You're easily appeased... most conservatives aren't. We want a real solution to the problem, not words of a "politician" that loves global government. GOP=Globalist Opining Profits.

I find it interesting that you guys keep trying to dissuade people from the Third party option.

IMHO, the reason to stay the hell away from third party efforts is that they are invariable unsuccessful in the modern era, except at being spoilers: Roosevelt in 1916, Wallace in 1968, Perot in 1992, Nader in 2000. There hasn't been a successful third party in America since the Whigs disintegrated and the Republicans emerged from the carcass. The Whigs were gone within a decade. Even in England, with its parliamentary system, third parties have been problematic - with the rise of the Labour Party and the death of the Liberals (inheritors of the old British whig tradition and the supporters of free trade and small government - remember it was the Tories who laid the groundwork for the British welfare state, just as it was Bismarck in Germany who laid the foundation for the German state welfate system) at the end of WWI. No, third parties are viable only under extraordinary circumstances.

Third party time. Impeach the Globalist wonk.

Why don't you have one of your third party Representatives file Articles of Impeachment?

Oh, that's right there aren't any.

Well, you can still join John Conyers. If you really believe that it is necessary to impeach the President then you would openly advocate supporting the Democrats.

It is amazing the conservatives like Peggy Noonan, whom thought President Reagan could walk on water, I personally liked him allot, and he gave illegals what was an Amnesty with nothing remotely close being offered by Bush.

Yet Noonan hammers Bush about this major immigration problem that no other president dealt with effectively. It says more about Noon than Bush.

I missed the part where he said that all Federal funding was being cut IMMEDIATELY for Spanish-language garbage, to back up his words about how important assimilation is.

Please spare me the "Noble Savage" talk. Illegals didn't come here because they wanted to serve the gringos--they came here to take advantage of a system we and our ancestors worked hard to build and maintain. IOW, they acted in their own self interests, just like every other human being (whether they'll admit it or not). Poverty does not impart virtue.

Fences make good neighbors, particularly when your neighbor insists that your backyard is his playground, his party-space, and in effect, really just an extention of his land, 24/7/365.

Everyone would like to not have fences. Everyone would like to have neighbors who respect the division of the property in such a way that no one sees any need for a fence.

To hide behind your cliche only shows you would rather ignore that your neighbor has already overtaken your backyard, and is looking to occupy your patio, because your such a nice person.

Nice people can make nice neighbors, or they can make fools when their neighbor desires only to take advantage of them.

The rest of us are nice people too. We are not fools.

Then you didn't read his post. The demographics don't lie. In 2 years we will see the largest exodus from the workforce in our history with the retirement of the Boomers. The taxpayer/tax recipient pyramid will invert and we had damn well better have some way to rectify it because the Boomers are going to be very militant about their retirement benefits and healthcare. It is way too late to breed our way out of this since the Boomers kids are even less likely to reproduce to replacement levels that their parents were. That is a fact.

Actually the last GOP candidate to get the African American vote was Ike. I'm very well aware of the history. Now it's about 14% for the GOP.

""It is truly sad these republicans forget the great economy, low taxes, low unemployment, our safety, no child left behind, medicare overhaul, drug prescription for the elderly, etc. and not to mention the honor returned to the office of the presidency by W."

Well I am living under a rhino governor elected in the great sweep of 94.( Yes I voted for the creep) We are in the top taxed states in the nation. My good friends who grew up here are packing up and leaving. Our governor can't control himself in raising taxes, surcharges, And passing new laws, being the first in the nation to pass laws on such things he is passing them for. Big Big Brother government. The famous democrat that he displaced was tame compared to this rhino. And I am not a fan of democrats. Of course our rhino governor also calls himself a conservative. If taxes are low and if unemployment are down then you could not prove it here.

[One small consolation is that your country will go down the tubes way before ours will.]

How is that a consolation? Vicomte13 is a very reasonable poster and although what he writes may be uncomfortable to some, it is political reality.

Yes, I was also offended by your claim that the destruction of another great Western society is some kind of funny turn of events. Dying off together while mocking each other is a pretty low class way to go out. It's also a self fulfilling recipe for extinction that I, for one, absolutely refuse to embrace.

The US and France have infinite numbers of chances to morph and win in the future. But people who are already talking about the luxury of being dead can be counted on to say suicidal and destructive things when it comes to the fortunes of others.
