I think I read a Mod saying that posts meant to hijack non-immigration threads would be pulled.
Maybe the solution is for all of us to report attempted hijacks as we run across them. Generally I don't like to swamp the Mods, but good people are leaving FR while others are accomplishing their goal of making FR look like a loony bin, which undermines the conservative cause.
Look at all the good FR has accomplished over the years. If we allow the trolls to take over, all that will be lost.
You also must have missed the Malaysian "Massage" (actually "manual stimulation" would be a more appropriate term) on Sunday morning.
The Democrats ARE communists. There are many good patriotic Democrats who love this country, and are UNAWARE that their party is partially funded by and often led by out-and-out Communists. I don't know how old you are, TV, but I've been watching the spread of communism in this country for over fifty years. Anyone who votes for a democrat now is being duped into losing their rights, including free speech, and everything else guaranteed to us by the Bill of Rights.
So, seal the freaking borders already. Doubt many here are arguing against it.

I don't watch polls.
I listen to people.

BorderBots on their fence are like I am about pro-life judges.
The polls will even lie and tell you the President scooped it out. One poll published today said that just 2% of opponents to the President - 2%! - oppose him primarily on immigration issues. That sort of poll is a willful attempt to drown the truth. But the poll in November will tell the true tale.
And so am I, now, in the hopes that enough people will listen and come to their senses.
Give the BorderBots their FENCE, and we WIN for sure.
Don't, and we probably lose.
That then, in 2007, we'll turn around and put the Fence in the platform so that we'll win in 2008 is a good consolation prize.
But I don't like losing any battles at all.
We don't HAVE to lose in November, but we DO have to lose if we don't bring back the BorderBots.
And the only thing we can give that can do that is their Fence.
So let's not bicker, and agree that the party needs to give them their fence, so that we don't have to give them the fence anyway, as the minority, in 2007.

I have also heard the alternative that I posted.
Many of the ones that claimed they wanted troops out now were put on the spot to spot to VOTE that way and when push came to shove they refused. There was no trick, just a simple vote that could be judged on its merits.
Please notice that almost all the pull out now crowd was hushed at that time. Sure some still call for it now and they are akin to the ones in Iraq that when we do finally pull out will claim they were right all along and that their actions drove us out.
Israel deals with that very thing and look what was claimed when they did leave Gaza!
Many will talk impeachment but very very few will actually persue it. I dare them to try.
And guess what? That is a small minority of the posts made asking for greater border security. Just as folks on my side of the debate objected strenuously to the idiotic Vox Day column today.

Conservative (small "c" conservative, that is)estimates are there are 11 million ecomnomic terrorists from mexico. If only 1% were alquaeda, that would still be more than we killed in Iraq. Nobody knows, because the flow is obviously free if 11 million can pour through. Damn, I can heardly sneak in a couple cases of real Labatts Blue, these guys sneak in their whole families!
Something to think about. We do not intend to be taken over by that third world country. If we will go to Iraq to protect this country - we may have to go to Mexico to protect it.
And, it would probably be a lot, lot cheaper. But, hey, this is just talk - it will never happen. The dems would be upset.

At that point the significance of the immigration issue will have revealed itself via the polls.
