Land mines? While that would be consistent with the policies of the old USSR it will never be acceptable in an America which is concerned about freedom. Last I saw there is also little love shown by Americans for shooting down people indiscriminately. Even Mexicans don't provoke such a response except among those who have apparently lost their minds in the wave of Insanity which has been unleashed upon FR.

So, we will instead build a wall to secure our border? And that wall will be the solution? I think this is just a humane response that is utterly useless in reality.

If we are truly serious about the problem, then don't go wobbly. Notify the proper Mexican officials that parameters are being established and that they will be land mined. I would predict a vast decrease in the desire to cross the border.
