FreeRepublic is conservative website. We don't have the Republican Party's back. If anything, we're here to police the Republican party.
The GOP's leadership has screwed up big time on illegal immigration and they deserve all the crap that they can handle. The GOP does not deserve our support or our kind words on the matter of illegal immigration. They deserve our hash criticism.

I agree. In fact, we all have the responsibility of policing our government. And with this forum, I would think there would be particular emphasis on discussing how to steer the conservative pols, which should be the GOP, in the proper direction.
I certainly don't like some of the reactionary things I've run across recently and I've been guilty of it myself. The immigration situation is one of lawlessness and the rule of law does raise passion. Everyone in DC now and for the past 20 years deserves severe criticism for it.
Support the Republican party, but kick them in the rear when they are wrong. The GOP has only begun to address this now. They have the leadership and they need to do the job for the American people.
But, in any case, FreeRepublic is a great place.
