In this part of the country, you have to protect the general public from an electric fence. Keep it away from children, older folks that don't focus.... things like that.

There are rules. We meet the requirements.

And then there's the cultural requirements. The 9 year olds have to be able to talk the 7 year olds into experimenting with diddling on the fence, without killing the 7 year olds

KEEP THINGS SAFE! DON'T PLAY WITH WATER(OR OTHER LIQUIDS) and ELECTRIC FENCES!

The only rules on electric fence in my area, is you can't put them up in a residential neighborhood.

Zapping trespassers is fine though.
