The endless Bush-bashing and relentless negativism are draining, counterproductive and sad. We used to gloat when watching the Dims tear each other apart. And now we are doing the same.

I believe in the President, but I don't think its "bashing" the President by voicing disgareement with his lack of action on the border. There needs to be a 2000 mile long fence - no if, ands or buts, and I think the criticism of his lack of action led the President to start taking the illegal immigration problem seriously. He's got a long way to go, but FINALLY, he's started to read the tea leaves.

Naturally, disagreeing with the President on specific issues is not necessarily "bashing." I'm referring to the overwhelming tone of anger and personal invective directed toward him that has characterized much of FR in recent months. It's the sort of thing we used to scoff at when it was the province of DU.
