Basically, we need to either get rid of the dem party, or split the country up. The present situation is basically untenable.
If we continue on this course Civil War 2 is inevitable.
Competence and honesty are traits required for govt employees (the "grunts"). Lacking such is cause for being fired.
But that's just for the govt peons.
The govt elite (Senators, Congressmen, etc) can be as incompetent and corrupt as they want...well, as long as they are Dem's at least.
If the political leadership and appointees were held to the same standards as the custodians in govt offices, a chunk of Repubs would be fired for cause, and all but maybe one or two Dems.
The reason the US is declining is due to corruption and incompetence in it's leadership elite.
