Zoysia chokes out weeds and inferior grasses, needs far less water than other grasses, thrives in blistering heat and survives the coldest winters, is excellent for slopes and other tough conditions, reduces mowing to once a month or less, naturally resists insects, grows incredibly thick.... ;)

Yes, but only after it has taken over the existing lawn and has established it's preeminence.
