They are an extremely busy family, and they picket lots of things besides the funerals of soldiers. Before there were any soldier's funerals to picket, the Phelpses targeted churches. Or Al Gore. Or went over to Iraq and protested the U.S. in the streets of Baghdad.
They came to my church before 9/11. First they went to St. Patrick's to protest the Catholic church for having gay priests. My church was just up the street, and even though it was a different denomination, it was handy. And everyone is gay or gay-enabling anyway, according to them.
My pajamas are ironed and ready to go. Anybody know the time and address, or shall I just drive around Seaford until I find it?
LOL!! Great picture
You swerved into the truth.
they are only pretending to be religious protestors.
They are just haters.
It's not that big a town, doubt you'll have trouble finding them. FWIW I found out yesterday a buddy of mine was there last weekend and basically confirmed the news accounts, except he said when the crowd rushed the van the Phelps group were in, the look on their faces went from smugness to terror in milliseconds.
No pictures? Darn! Maybe it will replay, so I can see it for myself.
Interesting. Funny the media doesn't mention that.
Wink, wink...nudge, nudge...say no more...
Agreed.
It has suited the media for years to hold up Phelps as an example of the intolerant, homophobic Right.
LOL!
The Phelps family are almost all lawyers, too.
And rest assured they're going to sue the pants off of Seaford, Delaware.
It's more productive than a collection plate.
I do believe that is one step above in what they did to the Vietnam veterans. Of course, the public apologies to the Vietnam vets were from people like these who try to make themselves feel better later on. They made me sick then and they make me sick now.
