GARY, Ind. A male high school student was barred from his prom at Gary's West Side High School because he wanted to wear a dress to the event.
Eighteen-year-old Kevin Logan says he is a homosexual who is exploring his sexual identity. He has dressed as a female while attending classes this year.
Logan arrived last Friday for the prom wearing a fuchsia, slinky prom dress and heels but was not allowed inside.
School officials say its school policy that males can't wear dresses. They refunded the 85-dollars he paid for a prom ticket.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana says Logan's First Amendment Rights were violated.
Logan's mother, Donnetta, said she was not surprised by what she called the ignorance of school administrators.
He's not trying to bring a barnyard animal as a date, he's just wearing a dress. Who cares?
Have to agree with you. People should have the right to wear what they want regardless of how ridiculous it makes them look. I've seen some pretty ugly things worn by women at my work.
Well, if he got away with wearing dreses or skirts to school the entire year without too much trouble, he probably wouldn't have had too much torment at the prom. Besides, since they let him wear dresses all year to school, did they really expect him to decide to wear a tux with a cumberbund to the prom?! They should have seen that one coming.
Not in here, you're not, Jasper. Come back in when you have the damn ACLU with you.
At my ten year high school re-union, my then wife was oohing and aweing a gown that was worn. After about 15 minutes of listening to this I asked if she would like to meet "Mike".
She asked me who "Mike" was, and I said the faggot wearing the dress you like. At the 20th re-union he appeared again (she didn't as we were by then divorced). He abscounded with the funds to pay for the re-union to pay the doctors for his "tuck and roll job".....
This is not a new problem.
Actually, maybe he should have been conducted to the "alternate" prom ... you know, the one whose entrance is back by the dumpster, in that dim, untraveled alley.
What would they do in Scotland?
Listen, the ACLU will stand up for the rights of this boy to [CENSORED] a dog in the middle of the buffet table under the false god of "civil rights". The organization is evil even by the standards of lawyers, and that's saying something.
Who SHOULD?
If that's him he's way too chunky for that dress.
And if Logan happened to be a nudist?
But another gender confused victim of leftist delusion.
Cute couple! I like his purse! :)
Not him.
It would appear that the ACLU is trying to just plain do away with any form of laws and rules because they all do something that "violate" a person's First Amendment Rights.
Why shouldn't I be able to throw rocks at all the red cars that pass by my house to express my dislike of red cars?
Feel free to add your own "Why shouldn't I be allowed to . . ." examples.
Mom's got rocks in her head - right next to the empty hope chests and cobwebs.
"So, we can assume female not allowed to wear trousers, pants, slacks, etc., while on school grounds or at school function. Right?"
Yep.
And Scots who wear kilts (just another name for cross-dressing) are right out.
