Rush Limbaugh Transcript on Immigration (Today's show)

RUSH: Now, folks, as I say, I've got all this figured out, and when I told you this wasn't about immigration, I was right; and when I told you that what this is really all about is the Democrats wanting and needing some new victims, I was right; and when I said this was all about politicians, particularly Democrats wanting new voters, I was right. But I was not a hundred percent right. I was close. To sum this up -- very simply -- what this bill is, this is not an immigration bill. What is being done here is being done under the guise of immigration reform. What this is, is a huge attempt by certain politicians, mostly moderate and liberal Democrats and moderate Republicans, to expand the federal government, to increase the numbers of people in poverty in this country by importing them via this immigration bill, which will set up the need to expand the "social safety" net in this country, which will then empower those who believe in big government.

It is also designed to provide a free flow of cheap labor for businesses that want to access it, and with the few limits on legal immigration that this bill imposes, we're no longer talking just about Mexicans. We now can import workers from all over the world who want to come in for the purposes of achieving and accessing the American dream, and believe me, if certain American businesses want to get labor cheaper than what they have to pay Mexican immigrants, they want to get them from Ethiopia, they want to get them from Sudan, here's an opportunity to do it. It really is no more complicated than that. I mean, you cannot read this bill and conclude anything else. This bill is senseless.

Don't try to discuss matters with a drive by error finder. They can only say you are wrong without really expressing why. You see, it is tied up with feelings that are sometimes so hard to express...leave the poor guy alone until he's had more counseling...

We definitely need powerful media people carrying the message: Limbaugh, Hannity and O'Reilly (who has been calling for troops on the border for at least two years). They are the three I see making waves.

Why don't you give an example of what you are commenting on, sir?

Why don't you demonstrate some of that intelligence you supposedly have as an economist?

It seems rather obvious you could not possibly teach at a better university. The economics professors in my master's program could fashion coherent responses.

"There's a basic issue of fairness and justice here, when illegal immigrants get privileges unavailable to citizens, while citizens get to pay the taxes."

And the Selective Service scam for illegals....

...mandatory to register for Selective Service for males between 18 and 26. ....Failure prevents federal handouts and is a barrier to citizenship.

And is a question on the IN400 citizenship petition form.

So any illegal who hasn't registered would be automatically barred from citizenship.......(don't hold your breath on this one..../sarcasm)

It makes me absolutely sick everytime I hear anyone use that common phrase "You can't deport 11 million people. It just can't be done." as the introduction to the argument.

And, WHY NOT?????

I don't see us wringing our hands wondering what to do with all the criminals in our society. I don't hear anyone saying, "... well, you can't just lock up 11 million criminals. It just can't be done." It seems to me that most of America has that one pretty well figured out.

And, how about this?

Clear our the Federal Pens near the borders. Use them as holding and processing stations for the Border Patrol's new assignment - to actually ENFORCE AND FOLLOW THE LAW AS IT IS WRITTEN.

Then we could use the some twisted process of Eminent Domain or something to take Ray Nagin's busses that he has no use for...... to start the wagon train back to Mexico!

I'll bet - in a few years, we'd have a much better control of the problem if WE ACTUALLY STARTED DOING SOMETHING!

There is no need to actually deport 11+ million people.

By targeting all business owners and renters who have knowingly hired illegals with jail time and enormous fines, the illegals will be dropped from their jobs like hot potatoes.

The vast majority will head for home and stay there. As it is, most visit their home at least once a year anyway.

This will just encourage them to stay.

Do you agree with the HOUSE bill?

Even that was too liberal.

If I were W, I would

Issue several Executive orders, most of which would commence immediately.

- The USA would disengage any interest in the UN

-Seal the Southern borders with whatever man and materiel was necessary

- Deport all illegal aliens

- Freeze ALL immigration for one year

More to come

rush kept saying today "keep your powder dry" i think in the coming weeks he is going to do something he has never done before, turn his massive audience loose on the govt with a tsunami of phone calls/emails and show the "moderates" on the hill why they should fear talk radio

one can dream anyhow

EASYST WROTE: "Any Senator that read and understood this bill, and still voted for it, is a traitor to this country. Plain and simple."

BINGO!!!

EASYST ADDED: "Any Senator that voted for this bill without reading and understanding it, is negligent to the point of treason."

BINGO!!!

EASY ST ADDED: "As much as I want [REAL] republicans to remain in power, I cannot aid and abet treason. I will NOT vote for any Senator who falls into either of the two categories above.

BINGO!!!

You are three for three! You are batting 1,000!

I am a Bush Elector and I am ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS with Bush on this issue and with the LITERAL TRAITORS to our country in the Senate!!!!

Here we have had both houses of Congress and the Presidency and they have acted like they are impotent to do what is right. I am now to the point of thinking the best thing for our country would be to vote out of office ALL of the purported "Republican" Senators who voted for the amnesty bill.

With "Republicans" like those, who needs "Liberals?"

They are FAR better at doing what is right when they are trying to EARN our vote and don't have it than when they have it and take it for granted.

Congratulations, you were indeed fortunate to have an excellent faculty. I probably should recall and renounce the 18 monographs, numerous articles in learned journals, Continuing Legal Education chapters, LL.M. and M.A. theses and Air War College dissertation because of my analytical and general failure to satisfy an anonymous critic on nonsensical argument in a fun filled posting exercise where I'm being baited. Ain't gonna happen.

Well, that's one approach. A much more passive one, albeit.

I like the loud, bold statements that communicate the message "respect our laws, or you WILL be deported." And, I have the will to do it.

After all - protecting our borders and our sovereignty is ACTUALLY one of the powers that the Constitution grants to the function of the government.

How long will we put up with the government doing everything BUT what it is actually given the power to do?

Ping!

Maybe this is the reason WE have been trained while serving in our military. We might need to use it again.

(Humm, some have remained in hiding, why?)

I have had articles published and have my name in 'learned journals', too.

So, please tell us JUST ONE THING WITH WHICH YOU HAVE A PROBLEM ABOUT WHAT RUSH SAID!

WHAT IS YOUR BASIS FOR CALLING RUSH'S STANCE "NONSENSICAL"?

And I mean for you to defend yourself more than this (from your only defense to date:

"The idea is outrageously stupid! How's that?"

as for the UN.. I think it serves a purpose for us.. its a way to communicate our "official" position on international affairs... I do NOT however accept any "UN Resolution" as binding on our nation
