Kerry is a holder of three purple hearts, a bronze star and a silver star, all awarded in a four-month stint

And he even managed to fit in a trip to Cambodia during Christmas.

Whatta guy.

>>all awarded in a four-month stint

I just bought a download of Unfit for Command and put it on my mp3 player to listen to (figured I'd "read" it sooner or later). One hour into the 6 hr file...really good and I do believe O'Neill and Corsi, not Kerry. Four month stint? Yes,
but one month was training! Kerry enlisted in Navy RESERVE,
not Navy; he tried to get an assignment where he'd be safe
and once things started to get hairy, oh look, I got a scratch. Can I get me a Purple Heart here?

When the Swift Boat charges came out, Kerry could have defended himself against them and made a strong case, if
he were indeed right. He did not, either because a) he
knew deep down people would see through him, or b)he figured the MSM would ignore them or denounce the Swifties as
crackpots (which a lot of the MSM did indeed do).

There was even a book out called Unfit Commander: Texans for the Truth Take On Bush, with a similar-looking cover. But Publishers Weekly said of that tome: "However, readers may balk at wading through old government documents, some of them indecipherable, that don’t offer new revelations. Ultimately, Smith lacks a smoking gun and, coming on the heels of the ONeill/Corsi book, this effort carries the taint of election year oneupmanship." Which it was;
ignore Kerry, folks, and focus on that eeeeeeeeeeevil W.

Needless to say there are moonbat recommendations for THAT one: "i don't like bush at all, and i don't like the way he makes texans look; even though he isn't really a texan, he was born in conneticut. do yourself a favor, and buy this book."

And another: "During the Vietnam War, John F. Kerry bravely performed his patriotic duty and risked his life in combat. During the same war, George Bush took the cowardly route and went AWOL from the Air National Guard for nearly a year. Glenn W. Smith's eye opening UNFIT COMMANDER provides full documented evidence, including over 250 pages of service records, that exposes the whole, shocking truth about Dumbya's shameful military "career". Smith provides a richly detailed introduction and commentary, plus an extensive appendix, that puts the sordid tale into proper perspective. Smith even addresses the recent CBS memo "controversy" and how Republicans used the media to promote that ridiculous sham of a news story in order to divert the populace from the truth about the president's cowardly past. UNFIT COMMANDER is a well researched and important historical document. Any remaining undecided voters out there should read it ASAP."
