That's the public school in my district. Glad I went to a private high school.

They required that poor girl to post bond? WTF?
Ever been to Cal City? They're lucky they opened the doors, period.
Come on time and there won't be a problem.
I wonder if the Blues Brothers were on time for their graduation.
Wonder if the student is white?
The government school system is way past the point where it can be "fixed" - they need to simply be abolished and let local communities rebuild from scratch and retain control.
That's the real issue, the police going along with it. Reminds me of the story a couple days ago when the police arrested a 6 yr. old 'special needs' girl for kicking a teacher in the shin. They won't arrest illegal aliens who are known criminals though, and our cities are over flowing with serious crime. Oh well, we can all rest easy knowing that high school girls who are late for their graduation ceremony will be arrested.
Maquisha Cosey
Heh heh.
(Unless they were on 'a mission . . .')
They could've done something besides having her arrested and prosecuted on trumped-up charges. Any cop with the IQ of a house plant would've told the principle and disciplinarian to go piss up a rope when told to arrest the girl. The cops work for the school principle and have to do what he says? Nonsense. A stern lecture to the girl and her parents after the graduation would've worked fine. She's the school VP, not some problem child.
Being late is what got Cynthia McKinney in trouble with the cops. No sympathy for late-arrivers. None.
Arrested, booked, and bonded out? Those three things should never should have happened.
Sheesh, everything is about me, me me..........and what's worse, the student doesn't appear to be the worst offender this time!
She should have accepted that she was to late for entry, and watched graduation with all of the other kids who were late.
The principle should not have marked this student for life! just because he was offended that she found a way into the room. He needs to be sanctioned for sheer heartless, vindictive cruelty!
Even if charges are dismissed at this point, it is too late. I don't care what they say, records are never really erased.
"Maquisha Cosey"
I won't make that bet
MAQUISHA? I would think not.
