What's encouraging here is that, in almost every instance, incumbent RINO's are losing to pro-life, pro-family challengers while pro-life incumbents are winning re-nomination easily against RINO challengers. 25-year-old pro-lifer Isaac Latterel, for instance, beat long-term legislator Duane Sutton. Sutton was one of seven Republicans who called themselves the "Mainstream Coaltion," a group trying to set themselves apart from the pro-family emphasis of South Dakota's current Republican leadership. Meanwhile, Brock Greenfield, one of the pro-life leaders in the legislature, easily fended off a RINo challenge.

This thread needs at least one bump. Don't want South Dakotans thinking everyone is looking at the California thread.

And it is good news about the pro-lifers.

This is becoming a trend nationally.

Thanks for the good report!

Further good news:

Democratic incumbent Julie Barltling, who introduced the bill outlawing abortion in the lower house, fended off two challengers to win re-nomination. Nice to live in a state with strong pro-lifers in both parties.

Correction: Julie introduced the anti-abortion bill in the SENATE, not the house. Sorry.

This would seem to bode well for the abortion referendum upcoming in South Dakota, right?

I heard on KELO this morning that four Republicans that voted against the abortion ban were unseated.
