Exclusive: MSNBC Axes Maury & Connie (Coulter-hater Connie Cancelled!)
TV Newser ^ | 6/10/06 | Brian Stelter

Posted on 06/10/2006 6:36:35 PM PDT by frankjr

MSNBC's "Weekends with Maury & Connie" is being cancelled, TVNewser has learned. The program, hosted by Maury Povich and Connie Chung, will end its run next week. The husband and wife team taped their second-to-last show on Friday.

"Weekends" launched almost exactly six months ago, on January 7, 2006. It launched to quite a bit of fanfare, and it aired four times a weekend (twice on Saturday and twice on Sunday) but it never seemed to find an audience. There's no word on whether Maury, Connie, or EP Lizz Winstead will have a future role at MSNBC...

Sorry, I must have posted it incorrectly. It was an earlier post by "Hildy" on Connie bashing Coulter.

Do Connie and Maury live on their own hut on fowls' legs?

The only time I saw the show was this morning for the last 3 or 4 minutes. If I'd known it was being cancelled, it would have been an enjoyable experience.

I was just watching Glenn Beck a few minutes ago. I really enjoy his TV show...better than the radio show.
He sure did put the hammer down on that idiot Lieutenant from Hawaii's father. I almost jumped up and cheered.

They took some parting pot shots at Ann Coulter...as Ann's book soars on the best seller list, their piece of crap cable garbage was watched by NO ONE and is being cancelled by the lowest rated cable news network around!

BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

What say you, Dick??

The witch's version of a double-wide: fully portable, for today's daemonic, flesh-devouring succubus on the MOVE! :)

No doubt they'll both be writing for Arianna Puffington.

Don't know if it's true but read that Olberwomann's ratings are higher than Anderson Cooper.

I saw a few minutes of it but accident and they were one of the most awkward couples I've ever seen on TV. It was painful to watch.

House and Garden is a great place to land when all else is beyond hope.

"The Soup" is reporting that three cameramen died while filming that show.

Caught that segment of Beck's show. He really let the father of the refusnik have it with both barrels.

He's had some great segments and hopefully will get good ratings.

But they still keep Matthews and Olberman around?????

Unfortunately, the Spitter and the Moonbat are probably not going anywhere. Scarborough's got a better chance of getting the axe. Let's hope it happens soon.

Now, if only Fox would give the hook to John Kasich ...

I predicted this weeks ago. Bush hating Opie Olberman is next since his protector Kaplan got the axe last week. MSNBC has become an embarrassment to honest journalism.

Good now Maury can focus on his true passion...

Helping promiscious single mother's and their parade of sex partners get their 15 minutes on TV.

A Mousorgsky fan! How about Hillarii as the principal character of evil in `Night on Bald Mountain'?
