Serbia told to drop "negative" influence on Kosovo

PRISTINA, Serbia (Reuters) - Serbia must drop its "negative" influence on Serbs in Kosovo and tell them to re-engage with the ethnic Albanian majority, the major powers said on Thursday, as a decision nears on the province's fate.

[...]

The West holds Belgrade responsible for a Serb boycott of political life in the United Nations-run province, which it says is complicating efforts to decide Kosovo's future this year in U.N.-led talks.

[...]

Diplomats say the West favors independence. But with a decision due within the year, signs of resistance among the Serb minority are growing, with the explicit backing of Belgrade.

Leaders of 50,000 Serbs in the north, which runs adjacent to central Serbia, said last week they had cut ties with the capital Pristina over a spate of shootings they blame on ethnic Albanians.

The 17,000-strong NATO peace force plans to reopen an old base in the north to bolster mobile units, reflecting growing concern that Serb resistance there could escalate into a unilateral bid to partition the province.

tom, since Michael brought up OSCE, figured I'd page you. Being a resident OSCE expert, slap in a fresh mag and empty it.

What's your Muslim name?

I dunno.

But I guess it would be "unbeliever", as that seems to be the generic term for atheists amongst those folks.

The idiot comes here to try and convince others he did good a few years ago in the Balkans. The predictable human psychology is, by trying to convince others you also preach to yourself. To try to obliviate your misdeeds. To salve your conscience.

Bottom line is Hoppy must have had a Muslim name bestowed in appreciation for the doing the ummah's dirty work. For being a useful idiot for them. Kosovo is NATO/Clinton/Albright disaster with Muslims about to take over this place. Useful idiot did his part to change a European Christian nation into a Muslim one. This is obvious to all except for Hoppy who comes here to lie to himself.

Good job. My eyeballing left something to be desired. However, the numbers are 4 to 5 years old. I wonder what they look like now.

Being an atheist is of no value in a religious war. You have failed to see that the Muslims are religiously motivated and now have Kosovo to add to their list of captured nations

I know the godless Europeans failed to see the religious dimension in Kosovo. These idiots saw it as an ethnic conflict, they are willfully ignorant of Jihad, same as you

Hoplite shipped in 2 million Muslim Albanians into Kosovo? The guy must be a logistical genius.

Hoplite had an active role during the Serbia/Kosovo war and prior to that. Why don't you ask him how he helped make Kosovo a Muslim territory

You don't see the ethnic conflict aspect of the former Yugoslavia? That's interesting. The Croat-Serb conflict was about religion. The Kosovo-Serb conflict was all about religion. Whatever. You do know that the Kosovars speak a different language and are rather indifferent Muslims when it comes to religion don't you, just like the Serb speaking Muslims in Bosnia, and the Albanian speaking Muslims in Albania itself? I haven't read much about Christian oppression in Albania myself. Have you? Looking at the world through a unipolar lens, is to see it in distorted image.

Ya, posting on FR, along with myself. Maybe you are mixing up Bosnia and Kosovo - two different places, two different times.

In spite of the Media they were not engaged in genocide. They killed primarily the males of their Islamic enemy. Clintoon used the occasion to oppose the wests interests (big suprise). Finally we were on the wrong side spending money and resources training and supporting the very terrorists we now are fighting.

I am just embellishing your legendary aspects even more. You DO know a lot about the area. That is very suspicious. Maybe you were an aide de camp to Torie Clarke or something.

I'll let Hoplite fill us in. Bottom line he is anti Serb and pro Muslim. A misguided idealist as in - "the road to hell being paved with good intentions"

Nope. Pro-American, and not afraid to call Serbian BS exactly that when I see it, or say that if Serbian interests continue to conflict with American ones, Serbia's going to keep getting the short end of the stick.

As to my ever having been to the region, that's more a result of an overactive imagination, which you and your friends around here rely upon far too much in constructing your worldviews, and in dealing with anybody who disagrees with said worldviews.

I happen to know OF SOME 30 PLUS Albanians who are muslims RIGHT HERE IN THE USA, in just one state and THEY ARE very religious!! There are hundreds more like 'em too in other states.

AS A MATTER OF FACT, THEY INSIST ON having their MULLAH/shamen/witchdoctors AND PRAYERS RIGHT IN PRISON!! Gotta have that prayer rug and just the right kinda' food too.

What is their crimes?? Why they are car thieves, drug dealers and PIMPS! But what the hey, THEY ARE RELIGIOUS!!

Just like they are in EUROPE!! Check out interpol wanted listings sometime... on never mind, YOU are one of those things that insist that ISLAMICS can do no wrong.

YOU ARE NO CONSERVATIVE AT ALL!
