PRITINA -- Soeren Jessen Petersen has resigned as UNMIK Chief due to personal reasons.
After almost two years of this job, the time has come for me to join my family in Washington. said the Kosovo Governor.
He added that he is aware that he is leaving at a very crucial time in the history of Kosovo, but is convinced that the political process leading towards a status solution is unfolding well.
When I arrived in Kosovo, I stressed that I believed that there would be no normalisation or stabilisation in the western Balkans until a solution for Kosovo is found. It is the last piece of the puzzle which will carry the region from the conflicts of the 1990s towards a prosperous future. Petersen said.
Final Solution for the Serbs.
