An area company has agreed to recall a number of caskets from funeral homes after a patent infringement lawsuit was settled in fedeal court.

I worked in that "factory" replacing a boiler when I was a kid....all the workers were tall and skinny and very pale...dark circles around the eyes..it was weird...like they were living corpses....just strange...very strange

the area company had infringed on Batesville’s patents for certain casket designs – including memorabilia pockets and locking mechanisms.

OK, I'm trying to figure this out. How could a memorabilia pocket be patentable? And is the locking mechanism meant to keep someone out or to keep someone in?

When my father in law died, we were at the funeral home and the funeral director was trying to sell us an upscale casket.

"It comes with a lifetime guarantee", he said.

I just looked at him at laughed, "WHOSE lifetime?", I wanted to know.
