Coaching or not, an 8 year old is not making a distinction between marine and terrorist in a military uniform..

Think about it.. How often have reports of weapon caches found by marines included military uniforms? About 75% ? 80 ?

The girl saw people in uniforms, they killed family..
Whether it was marine or terrorists in stolen uniforms is up for grabs..
All that kid saw was "soldiers"..

I'm just repeating second-hand info, and I'm no expert, but a caller to Hannity a couple of days ago claims that photos of the killings clearly shows casings from ammo not used by the marines. AK-47 vs. M-16. Maybe some freepers with special knowledge can follow up on that aspect.

Maybe McGirk is repositioning himself because of these remarks from the Marines' attorneys, as reported in Reuters the day before he gave this interview:

A lawyer for one of the Marines under investigation, who also declined to be identified, said that Hammurabi was not a known or registered human rights organization and had no track record of reporting any other abuses.

Well, not according to McGirk -- all of a sudden. He's used them before. (Never mind that he couldn't even get their name right in his original articles.)

The Marines' attorney goes on to say:

"And it turns out these two [Hammurabi] employees have family members spending time in local prisons for insurgent activity," the attorney said. "I think the origins of the tape would have been better suited if it came from somebody who really did have altruistic motives in their heart."

Maybe this explains why McGirk is now pretending it wasn't Thabet who made the tape after all.

After all, McGirk and Time now have a stake in their story being true.

Which means they might have to invent and even re-invent a credible source.

I've seen photos of brass of both calibers shown as being from the scene, but the enemy lie and we can't be sure of the context of the photos or who really took them.

I don't have proof, but I believe I saw some pictures of Eastern Bloc steel cased .223 lying around. What could that mean, eh?
