I guess it means that not everyone ranks Carter as the "worst President." Such polls are meaningless, because most people could not tell you a single thing that Carter ever did.

A great number of respondents did not live through the hell that was the Carter administration. I wish those answering this question favorable would be placed in a time machine, go back, and have to live through it.

That may be because Carter didn't do a single thing worth remembering as President. Stagflation, malaise and failed hostage rescues aren't things people want to remember.

No one who lived through his 4-year term could possibly approve of him or his performance. He was the worst, the most inept president of my lifetime, anyway. I imagine that what they approve of today is his grandfatherly appearance and his Habitat for Humanity activities.

He turned Iran over to the radicals, starting with the Ayatolla.

He made lots of mistakes, but kicking off the age of Islamofascist terrorism is his crowning accomplishment.

1. Gave away the panama canal to the chinese
2. Abondoned americans to terrorists in iran
3. Broke promises the the Shah of Iran to provide support thereby resulting in the violent overthrow of the Shah and subsequent kidnapping of Americans.
4. Responsible for the worst economy in recent memory
More recently
1. Praised Americas enemies
2. Used his status as an Ex President of the USA to undercut a currently sitting President and adversely impact official government policy
3. Praised elections in terrorist states and those of dictators while condeming elections in the USA as unfair
Thats all I can think of right now, besides thinking of this peanut brain is making me ill.

Carter at 0.61?
What did this man do?
The only memories I have are of toothy grins, a bucktoothed child in a tree house, a beer-swilling retard, wearing sweaters to combat the energy crisis and being slapped around by a bunch of camel jockeys.
He and other liberal icons *must* have done noteworthy things that escaped my attention.
There has to be more to this than a pathological need to lionize the inept and bask in the glory of failure.

The times made the man. After all, it was the 70's. Jimmy Carter was the perfect representative of a leisure suit era.
And Lyndon Johnson was the worst President ever. And the most evil American in the 20th century.
