84% of the respondents approved of JFK -- that must mean that most conservatives did. Assuming of course that they are taking an unbiased sample of the population.

JFK was the ultimate victim during an age that values victimhood above all else. As long as you're a Democrat victim.

That sounds about right. Plus, there's also the factor that most people who responded probably weren't around during the Kennedy administration and only know what their public school teachers told them about those years.
