Posted on 06/21/2006 2:38:38 PM PDT by Scarchin

I just got a phonecall saying something big was about to break RE: WMD but I can't get to a TV. Anyone?

Yes, and I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Santorum said there is more to come...

AND, we already have testimony from some former Iraqi pilots that flew stuff to Syria right before the war..

We have NOT been able to check out Syria.

PLUS, Saddam was supposed to either get rid of these, or at least let us know where they were...AND, Hans Blix and his crew did NOT find them....so, they totally qualify for what was said before the war...as ONE reason for going to war.

Al-queda was another...and we KNOW that Zarqawi was there before the war.

Don't know what more you want at this time.

It was my impression that the WH and the administration fought to keep the information secret and it was only through the dogged efforts of Santorum and Hoekstra that the partso of the report were declassified. The real question is why they were fighting to keep the info secret.

Since the MSM has been hammering for years that there were no WMD in Iraq, this story cuts against all mainstream conventional wisdom. Therefore this story is a complete fabrication and will never be reported as newsworthy by the MSM. CNN.com main story right now is “Marines, Medic charged with murder”. This type of story line fits in with their world view, but regarding WMD in Iraq, Rich Santorum will be portrayed as a madman and the only WMD the MSM will acknowledge in Iraq are the presents of US troops. The new media will fill the vacuum and reveal the utter bankruptcy of the MSM.

Maybe so the insurgents wouldn't start scavenger hunting for more to use against us.

Santorum might be in so much trouble in his re-election campaign that he released the info against the wishes of the White House. The Secretary of Defense should be the point man on this, not some senator who is 18 points down in the polls.

WHY is it--EVERYONE is "forgetting" all the " UnSanctioned--Illegally Acquired WEAPONS & Technologies Found from DAY ONE of the Invasion?

See...even Conservatives seem to have forgotten BECAUSE of the Great Job the MSM had done in Down playing all that 3 years ago!!

IMO, the Dems have been distorting classified information with the full expectation the truth would never see the light of day.

Additionally, I can see why early on, depending on when and how the discoveries were made, the WH would keep quite. It is possible that release of the find could implicate a source. Source out means source dead. JMHO.

You and I both know about all of that proof, but you never hear about it. Not even from the Administration. I just know how the left and the media will turn this around, unfortunately.

Mustard gas is persistent and degrades very slowly. Remnants of Germanys WW2 stocks will kill you just as dead today as it would then.

Sarin is not persistent unless certain additives are thrown in the mix. Sarin also degrades pretty fast unless one has the technology to slow the degradation process. However, the jihadists have used sarin arty shells in their IED's. 13 year old Sarin can still kill you.

Binary sarin shells don't degrade at all. Did he have them? We don't know.

Saddam Hussein had the technology to reconstitute his program any time he wanted. Saddam had an ongoing relationship with Al Qaeda. Saddam Hussein used chem weapons to terroize his own population. He believed in them because they halted Iranian advances time after time.

Any POTUS cognizant of those facts who did not act on them post 9/11 should be put in stocks for the duration.

Being the bearer of truth is sometimes a dirty job but somebody has to do it. Santorum and Hoekstra will do.

AND...I think that is one reason that the White House hasn't mentioned this stuff....

His enemies won't listen..and the people on his side don't NEED this information.

even on Fox just now they said they were old pre-1991 weapons and the only thing that it proves is he lied about destroying them, not that he had an active program.

I don't care how old they are. The Congressional resolution cited the existence of stockpiles of WMDs and WMD programs. Well, 500 sounds like a stockpile to me, and stockpiling is a type of program. Heck, I remember early on when the 'Rats said they'd only be satisfied with finding stockpiles--programs (meaning development programs) alone didn't count to them. I don't recall anything in the resolution about the age of the WMDs.

Does this now officially make the anti-war, pro-terrorist left liars?

I was just thinking - what would have to happen to convince these anti war morons? Seems nothing short of a nuclear weapon - and finding it much sooner than now - is the only thing that would work. A de-classified piece of paper is not going to do it.
