Hey really great insight into the problems associated with illegal aliens.
Yes Canada is having problems giving adequate health care ON Demand that is.
Read my post at 139 to see why the turn around takes so long.
This country has gone crazy dismissing Carte Blanch foreign education as being inadequate.
Just about every group associated with giving health care have instituted rules that are so restrictive that doctors from foreign countries can not even serve as physicians assistants with out returning for two more years of schooling.
This is the same mentality as used by some unions to freeze out competition.

That's another slap in the face....free education for those who are not here legally. My understanding is that a foreign student had to show ability to pay. Either by the student's government or parents. Unless an American or legal resident earns scholarships, you pay for that college education!
I'm not sure how restrictive the rules are for foreign born physicians, but the unions have been known to freeze out most competition. The competition they cannot freeze are illegals taking over the trades, especially building trades.
Saw a really bad story here on FR, recently about medical treatment in Canada. A couple learned that their unborn child had died in the uterus. An induction needed to be performed. The only problem was, there were no hospital beds available anywhere to actually deliver the child. The parents ended up crossing the border into the US. I can't remember all the details, but it was a pretty sad commentary on Canadian health care.
