Gee, two individuals with absolutely no scruples and both bent on self preservation and you find nothing wrong. Ok, for a devout Catholic you really have no problems with making deals with the Devil then, you surprise me.

It's politics, and the greater good was served. After all, your Eastern Orthodox Priests made deals with the Nazis, unlike Tudjman or even Milosevic.

Oh yeah, they made great "deals with the Nazis" -- that's why our Patriarch Gavrilo and Bishop Nickolaj were sent to Dachau! Give me a break.

The WWII Catholic Church in Croatia was up to its armpits in blood, and everyone knows it. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/news.php3?id=7698 So, I doubt opening that can of worms is to your advantage!

Whose priests made deals with the Nazis?

That's right, not the Serbs.

Boka,

as I've stated in a few prior posts, Darko/Dio was or still could be HVO Intel now living in Switzerland. I met him in St. Catherines, Ontario for a few drinks around five years ago or so. He worked in Toronto and lived in Mississauga and from what I've gathered and put together from our conversations, he networked, a facilitator. He had indirect dealings with the Croats arrested for the Stinger missiles back in the early 90's.

Overall, he's a great guy to go out and have a few drinks with and have a good time if it weren't for his Pro-Ustashe views and aspirations.

Kosta is still around. He drops in and comments on the Balkans threads once in awhile, but he's mainly concerning himself with the "really big picture" now. I still miss the great discussions the two of you had.

Wanna make a bet? What about Pop Djujic's deal with the Nazis?

Is he the one who cut a deal with the Italians in order to keep the cowardly Ustashi from murdering more defenseless Serbs?

You claiming that he was a Priest?

Momcilo Djujic was a Serbian Orthodox Priest who made alliances with the Nazis.

And the murderous Stepinac did likewise.
