Gianna is an advocate for cerebral palsy
the speaker of the House explained that Gianna has cerebral palsy and is an activist to bring awareness to the disease. "Let us give her a hand not only for her performance today, but also for her advocacy work," he said.
I was, presumably, someone's unwanted pregnancy as I was adopted as an infant in 1957. It's easy enough to understand why I don't support Planned Parenthood. However, I find the manner in which this young lady was sneaked into the Colorado House on false pretenses to be dishonest and unChristian. This is exactly the kind of stunt that gives Christians a bad name.

And it is by no means certain what causes CP
NINDS Cerebral Palsy Information Page
Cerebral palsy may be congenital or acquired after birth. Several of the causes of cerebral palsy that have been identified through research are preventable or treatable: head injury, jaundice, Rh incompatibility, and rubella (German measles).
Research suggests that cerebral palsy results from incorrect cell development early in pregnancy. For example, a group of researchers has recently observed that more than one-third of children with cerebral palsy also have missing enamel on certain teeth. Scientists are also examining other events-such as bleeding in the brain, seizures, and breathing and circulation problems-that threaten the brain of a newborn baby. Some investigators are conducting studies to learn whether certain drugs can help prevent neonatal stroke, and other investigators are examining the causes of low birth-weight. Other scientists are exploring how brain insults (like brain damage from a shortage of oxygen or blood flow, bleeding in the brain, and seizures) can cause the abnormal release of brain chemicals and trigger brain disease.

I totally agree with you.
And I'll raise you one for the "flame away" category...
I'd wager that 99% or more of people who are pro-choice would in NO WAY condone an abortion at 7.5-months into a pregnancy.
Even pro-choice people realize that at 7.5-months, it is no longer a "fetus", it is a premature baby.
So before everyone paints all pro-choice people with the same brush, please recognize that not all of them are whacko baby killers.
(And to reduce the number of people who will ask me at what point a "fetus" becomes a "baby", I'll tell you my personal definition: The point at which the baby can survive outside the womb.)

This is exactly the kind of stunt that gives Christians a bad name.
Kinda like those radicals who threw the tea in the boston harbor?

This "stunt" was very crafty, something Jesus extols. Ted Harvey employed an effective rhetorical technique to communicate his message.
Following Jesus is what gives Christians "a bad name" (see Luke 6:22).

"This is exactly the kind of stunt that gives Christians a bad name." It's funny how Christians are the ONLY group I EVER hear about getting a "bad name" as a group from any behaviors seen as "bad"--and it comes up virtually EVERY time any Christian is being chastised for anything the one offering the criticism doesn't like.
This widely practiced exception to the Bigotry Rule is just one of the many proofs that Christians are held to a different standard than anyone else--which itself bears testimony to the spiritual warfare described in the Bible.

They didn't get as upset with her presence as you have. Christians at times have had to be bold to get a chance to even be heard. She didn't break any laws.

This is exactly the kind of stunt that gives Christians a bad name.As I was reading it I, too, cringed when he repeatedly represented her as being a cerebral palsy advocate. That struck me as deceptive and misleading; he was withholding, even distorting, the truth. He did not invite her to appear because of her CP advocacy. But, that's the impression he gave the majority leader and the house.
