"Cheap shot?" Hardly.

1) Mr. Hassan expressed the usual platitudes about how terrible this was, implying that this was some sort of natural disaster. Although, I suppose you could categorize the explosions as Acts of Allah.

2) Mr. Hassan expressed zero anger at the Muslim individuals who murdered his niece. When was the last time you heard any public condemnation by supposed Islamic representatives on the latest act of terrorism? This is hypocrisy at its most despicable level. Muslims are a perpetual hair-trigger grievance society; they'll bitch and moan about all sorts of imaginary slights against their thin-skinned religion where us "infidels" are concerned, but they're always suspiciously silent towards their Muslim "brothers".

3) Mr. Hassan deserves sympathy for his loss, but talk is cheap. Until I see his platitudes are backed up with action in his community, I reserve the right to my distrust. All I hear 24x7x365 is how Muslims refuse to assimilate to their host countries, how they refuse to notify authorities of the presence of the hyper-radical elements operating out of mosques, how w'ere the ones who have to change our Western societies to their demands, and how we're always the ones who are intolerant, hateful, blah blah blah when we don't.

So, if that's a cheap shot by your definition, so be it. I won't lose any sleep tonight worrying about it.
