Reports coming in about IAF striking Beruit airport, if this is confirmed this is another sizable escalation. I think this article ought to be pinned.

I'm only 18 years old

You are wise beyond your years. Stay that way.

"We will not get involved militarily"

I'd say that isn't accurate, we get involved if by some slim chance Israel is getting pasted.

China's too interested in the Olympics.

I'm serious. I can't see China being eager to get involved in a war anytime soon.

Yeah, I have not been able to believe that so many countries have been pushing Israel to talk peace with people who won't even acknowledge their right to exist. Islamists only negotiate for one reason, and that's to give them time to reload.

That's the one thing we know with absolute certainty - God will save Israel. But not without them getting bloodied until they finally turn to Him in faith.

I dig at Dubya very regularly on a certain couple of issues. On this matter, I believe and trust him to do the right thing.

So do I. I never waver on Bush over matters such as these.

Please remember hats off to our President, also. He's got him so "strategery" :) As awful as it seemed when it happened--I believed that what you stated was exactly the reason for the removal. Give the PA what they wanted, see how they act, then the rest of the world will know that all they ever want is to wipe Israel off the globe.

If Iran attacks Israel, dollars to doughnuts NK will blitskrieg SK and force us to choose who to help. Maybe China will go for the trifecta and launch a naval invasion of Taiwan...

Damn, Windcatcher, that's a scenario from hell.

Unless you own stock in, say, Raytheon. Which I don't.

Second best: Exxon-Mobil.

Prayers going up for peace.

where does this train stop

Where they all do...when it gets too close to the brink of total war, the west will pull Israel back.

It's a simple equation: We are the world's wealth, we are the economy. We have more to lose from total war than those still living in the 6th century. It's our economies that will be crushed by the end of flowing oil. Since we have the most to lose from war, we will make dern sure that the lid doesn't come totally off the pot.

Meanwhile, an active mideast war might be just the impetus required for us to finally go get our own oil for a change.

Just an aside, but is there such a thing as an Israeli soldier with a rank lower than Staff Sergeant?
