I have no doubt about Israel's defenses, but, they only have a finite number of troops and people. They are surrounded by millions of nut cases who want their utter destruction, and have said so on several occasions.

Yeah, I have not been able to believe that so many countries have been pushing Israel to talk peace with people who won't even acknowledge their right to exist. Islamists only negotiate for one reason, and that's to give them time to reload.
