So she was an illegal. It's come to a pretty pass when almost every accident in the USA involves an illegal in one way or another. I'd say we have way more than 20 million illegals here.
According to the article both she and her husband were U.S. citizens, not illegals.
No, she was a U.S. citizen, according to the article.
She was "legal."
While you are usually right about illegals, in this case apparently not. The article says that both she and her new husband were already US citizens. I thought that he was already a citizen and she was getting her citizenship by marriage to him. Then I saw an article that said that he only spoke spanish. How do you pass your citizenship test without the required ability to speak English?
I'm not sure why, if she was already a citizen, getting her kids here was a problem except that 2 of them are not minors any longer. One is 23, one is 20 and the youngest is 17.
From another article:
Angel Del Valle escaped the mangled wreck through the driver's side window. In San Jose, Costa Rica, the oldest of her three children said Milena Del Valle had just visited them for the first time in five years.
"We were so happy to see her after so many years of her leaving for the U.S. Looking back, we see the visit as a farewell, like a gift from God," Mora said.
Five years between visits, I like my kids better than that.
