I probably need to put the old flame suit on, But I liked Tommy with Deep Purple too.

I've always enjoyed Tommy Bolin's playing. He was on a jazz-fusion album with drummer Billy Cobham (can't remember the title)...excellent, excellent playing. Did a couple of albums with the James Gang (post-Joe Walsh)...Bang had a lot of very listenable tunes...

You're not alone, dude.I thought Tommy was up there with Blackmore.Died way to young.I found a CD with a show he done in Colorado.Jams his ass off.Post Toastee and Teaser are great too.

I was going to post the same thing. I loved Come Taste the Band! I liked Stormbringer too. Saw them around 1976 at the Long Beach Arena. I'll never forget the name of the warm up band- Duke & The Drivers. Saw Rainbow shortly thereafter.

I alway thought David Coverdale had the best voice in all of rock, at least hard rock!
