Wouldn't a platinum bottle create a risk of altering the flavor of the tequila?

If you paid a quarter of a million dollars for a bottle of booze, would you drink it?

Good point, though I would never buy booze that I would not drink. Otherwise, it is just another piece of crappy artwork.

I do have some liquor worth hundreds of dollars a bottle (e.g. rare old Islay single malts), and some exceptional ports worth thousands of dollars per bottle (e.g. the most famous Nacional vintages). And they all get drank eventually.

Not all at once.
