That is a question that I haven't been able to answer either. I suspect that they resent us more than they fear Islam. It is sad and it could well be fatal for those who think appeasement will work. I fear that even we lack the resolve to defeat this enemy. Far too many people in this country refuse to see that Islam is incompatible with our Western way of life.

What's mutually exclusive about them? Political entities are primarily instruments for the commission of mass murder. Terrorists are committers of mass murder indiscriminately against civilians without the benefit of openly declared war or observance of any of its rules. Hezbollah are terrorist politicians. You won't find any terrorists who aren't politicians, established or aspiring. It is not a compliment. Calling someone a politician is calling him "liar" or "murderer", 9 times out of 10.
