I just read that 3500 US troops had left Mosul for Baghdad.

Yep. We heard about that.

We're expecting bomby weather here today, too. About when the mosques let out. Mookie Sadr has a "million man march" planned for today.

I sure hope the coalition forces have some opening ceremonies planned for that as well.

We've already heard two nearby explosions in our neighborhood today.

Don't know, they have all of the ethnic groups up there - Kurds, Sunni, Shiite etc. Turkey may use this as an excuse to invade, which won't be helpful.

That's correct, and so are Fallujah and Ramadi, ergo insurgent attacks in all three are pretty much exclusively perpetrated by Sunni Arabs.

There is approximately zero chance that Turkey may use this as an excuse to invade.

I think Baghdad is about to become the center of attention in Iraq.

I think Baghdad is about to become the center of attention in Iraq.

And see, the thing is, we don't really like being the center of attention...

We're kind of shy like that. ;-)

We're not sure where that fat little slug is, but I sure hope some of the good guys with lots of weapons know.

He's probably hiding out in Najaf and directing his potential carnage from there, the lily-livered little coward.
