'Cause the fans are part of the team in Pittsburgh and, if you knew anything at all about it, you should have known that.
UHHHH, did ya miss the part where I said I'm from the 'burgh and if ya read my other posts you would realize I'm a life long fan.

I like this version better ...
Bob Hope arrived in heaven and was personally met by St Peter at the gate.
St Peter greeted Him; "Welcome Bob, we've been looking forward to your arrival for a long time. We have your home ready for you". St Peter then lead him to a nicely decorated home with all the modern amenities he enjoyed in life. At that moment, Bob Hope happened to notice the home next door was enormous ... hundreds of Pittsburgh Steelers flags, Terrible Towels and signs covered the grounds as well.
Bob motioned to St Peter and commented; "I really appreciate the beautiful home you've prepared. I just have to ask why is the home for Art Rooney so much larger than mine?"
St Peter quickly fixed a long gaze into Bob Hope's eyes. "That's not Art's home, that's where GOD lives."
So why did he go to the trouble of writing this article? Why couldn't he just not care, silently?
LOL! Works for me!
(Yes, I do know what the word means. I suspect the author doesn't.)
What's the over and under on how many wedgies this weenie got when he was a kid?
Unintentially funny article. Could have been written by my Mom! LOL!!
I'm currently on my golf vacation in Western PA. I'm enjoying all the Steeler camp coverage in the newspapers, radio, & TV. I go back to DC Monday and will be innudated with wall to wall Redskin coverage. Now that is something to complain about! ;-)
Let's go Potomac River Basin Indigenous Peoples! (got to be PC, ya' know...)
LOL!
A reminder on the nature of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (known here in Pittsburgh as the comPost-Gagger): The Post-Gazette, privately owned by the Bloch family, is a Union Socialist (or Socialist Union) propaganda sheet. Socialism through Labor Unions is the Post-Gazette's goal; Mandatory Unionization, too. It supports only Democrats. Of the Democrats it supports the most socialist/unionist candidates.
The Post-Gazette was Number Two in circulation to The Pittsburgh Press (a Scripps-Howard paper, which was a bit liberal, but not terribly so, and that made it very, very conservative compared to the Post-Gazette) until the Teamsters' Union put the Press out of business. For a time, the Post-Gazette was the only metropolitan-wide newspaper in the Pittsburgh area. Now, it is being challenged by The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, a conservative paper.
For rainy days, there are fine indoor shooting ranges. One is just of Rt. 22 on the way towards the Airport.
Pick up a City Paper (They are free, in give away boxes Downtown). There are plenty of plays, concerts, etc. There are very expensive ones, and very cheap even free ones.
If you've been conned in actually living within the City, then you are in for a bad time until you can move out.
Mainly, when we aren't shooting, fishing, boating, or golfing we sit around swapping lies. If all else fails, ask some old timer about the 1960 World Series.
This proves my theory that this "guy" has a sore ass because he is a fan of the denizens of the"Queen City". The Bungholes.
Yawn........
No doubt about it.
