Right Wing News emailed more than 225 right-of-center bloggers and asked them to send us a list of whom they considered to be their "Favorite People On The Right." Representatives from the following 51 blogs responded...

The bloggers were also told to keep in mind that their selections needed to be still alive and that the poll wasn't about electability. The goal was to get bloggers to choose the people they personally like &/or respect the most on the right.

I'm surprised Rush is number 9.
Thought he'd be higher.
'People on the Right', forsooth! Sheesh.
But who would win a pettiest, blithely self-important blogger poll?
No, no, that would be a silly poll.
Like trying to find the wettest fish.
I think Rush's heyday is long over. With the emergence of more conservative talk show hosts, bloggers, and other conservative pundits, Rush is no longer the influence he once was. It's kind of a shame, since he's the only one I like. The rest of them are stupid (Sean Hannity), obnoxious (Ann Coulter), not actually conservative (Michael Savage), paranoid (Michelle Malkin), etc. Rush is the only one who's informed, entertaining, and capable of more than cheap, trashy attacks on liberals. I don't always agree with him, but I don't always agree with anyone, and he's a bit of a pompous ass, but hey, that's show biz.
He still has the biggest audience out there. He's obviously not the dominant conservative voice out there, like he was during the bulk of the Clinton years, but that should be expected. I think your analysis of Rush hits the mark.
Well your analysis is spot on. I couldn't have said it better myself - even down to the pompus ass stuff. And I DO think that Rush ranks higher than this poll indicates.
Pardon my bias, but I like certainty and longevity. Trust omes from long-standing demonstration of excellence and consistency in world view. While all of these folks are probably good people, I can't take the time to view all of them. I have a job. For my precious time, its got to be Rush.
If any of the rest fell off the face of the Earth, it would be one less member of the crowd. If Rush fell off, I would be crushed, and there would be a very black void.
I agree with all of you Rush fans. If any of the other pundits left, I would be sad but could handle it. Rush, I would definitely miss. He has such great original insights and analysis on the Dems and the media. That said, it's great to see Dr. Thomas Sowell in a tie for second place.
Try listening to Larry Elder. He's far and away the best.
If it was about "Conservatives" none of the above would qualify.
I am surprised you don't see how phony this poll has to be. Far Right! B$ No way. Not even Ann Coulter made the list. Maybe this is the toe suckers personal list. he seems to think Condi can save the world.
I've never heard him, though I have seen his name mentioned on FR before. When is he on? What sort of conservative is he?
