That's true. I worked for a Waste Disposal company for years. We hauled garbage for virtually all the sleezy motels along the Broadway strip here. Virtually all of these guys were Patel's. There was one motel that advertised "American Owned" on their sign out front, even they had us. We had most of the business on this corridor, because we were the least expensive. These Indian guys are really TIGHT with their money. I read later in our local paper when they were interviewing several of the Patel's regarding prostitution (What do you think goes on at those places? ;-) The newspaper revealed that the Indian name Patel means "landowner". That is how I knew. :-)
I think that is a good thing. I see a lot of americans being really stooopid with their money. Mike Tyson, Lyndon LaRouche, MC Hammer, and a gaggle of others come to mind.
