Thanks PureSolace, I needed that.... Errr...
Wait, I hope Mom isn't watching :O
Frankly, most of us have given until it HURTS with regard to Katrina, the tsunami that killed roughly a quarter of a million people worldwide, earthquakes and other natural disasters that have occurred over the past few years. In fact, there was a horribly destructive tornado that devastated our area in Tennessee last year. Parts of Murfreesboro are still staggering with the rebuilding effort. People in general have risen to the challenge of helping in ALL these disasters in the BILLIONS as well as in physical and material efforts.
Specifically WHAT are you suggesting that we NEED to be doing EXACTLY with regard to fixing the mind-boggling destruction left by Katrina? It would help to be told something specific that is expected or wished since most of us on this thread cannot read minds - at least I do not have that gift. . and bear in mind, those victims of all the other apocalyptic disasters are in need of the same rebuilding and relief from this country and the world.
What are YOU personally doing to remedy the situation?
I've been through 4 myself, and while they are no picnic---I don't recall any of my neighbors here in Florida stating the "someone needs to do something" line like it was somehow preventable.
I don't recall any looting either on the ones I went through (but Andrew back in '92 evidently had some)
Is this by chance just a Louisiana thing?
