It's awful. They got me to the point of almost, saying; oh, come on. do it.
Or, shut up about it....

It's absolutely related to the end of the month showdown with Iran.

This is obviously a plot by the Neocons to distract the world's attention from Iraq. /s

Maybe the leftists in Congress want to send in Jesse Jackson to talk or something.

Iran and North korea getting hot at the same time. Coincidence? I think not.

FWIW, I predicted as much, a few weeks back. It makes a great deal of sense for these idiots to try to spread our attention around.

I can't help recalling the debates a few years back about the likelihood of a two-theatre war. I'm guessing that debate is about to heat up again, if it's not made moot by current events.

AIT, I've seen you on other North Korea threads with insight from news on the ground in Japan. I'd be interested in the reaction to this latest installment.

No they'd probably want either Carter or Albright.

Or they both make moves at the same time? NK goes south, and Iran moves on Iraq and Israel?

Does China want to join the party, too?

The map on the war games thread suggests that Iran has big plans this weekend...

Send Carter, Clinton and Jesse Jerkson over there to negotiate. Maybe throw in HoHo Dean, Feinswine and Captain Oldsmobile for kicks.

Then nuke the joint until they don't need lights at night in Japan.

Iran or North Korea use a nuclear weapon on America through terrorist or a scud fired from a shipping container at sea. The USA nukes North Korea or Iran. Radiation spreads into China or Russia. In the interests of national security, Russia & China nuke the USA.

If we have already nuked NK or Iran what makes the ChiComs and Russkies think that we wouldn't launch on warning against them?

If that's the case, I bet Iran's bomb works and NK's doesn't. Only one of them has the cash to make sure the job gets done right.

I would say the rumors of a test are probably true. Something is going to come down, that is for sure.

As one can see from the chart (from Japanese news), here are the occasions of Kim Jong il dropping out of public sight for long periods of time. (usually during some particular uproar of some sort--asassination plots or negotiation talks failures, or weapons testing invariably). In just 5 days days (next Tuesday) time from now, he will have been out of sight, (and probably underground) for the longest time period ever since assuming power in 1994.

It would appear the rat is underground, getting reports, and plotting his next nuke steps....

A nukular test by NJ should be a declaration of nukular war.

Every article about every rogue state is full of State Dept. idiocy. We are concerned about the consequences, it would be a "mistake", the World will say "tsk tsk".

These countries are developing mass destruction weapons with which to KILL us or at least blackmail us. They only understand force and threats of force. Has the Bush administration entered a fantasy world?

Nah, the Iranian nuke is probably Russian in origin. Pakistan isn't Shi'ite like Iran is and probably wouldn't be all that comfortable with them having a nuke.
