I had a spooky encounter on I-71/75 yesterday leaving Cincinnati for home. We were in a middle lane of the interstate just after crossing the Ohio River, heading South when we passed an older Chrylser (Plymouth or Dodge) mini-van. It was being driven by someone who had a head wrap on that covered all but their (his/her?) eyes. The van was a real beater and was traveling at about 50 mph in traffic that was moving at 65+. We lost track of it immediately so have no idea if it got off on I-275 for the airport or not.
There's still the old CB - you can't avoid the truckers when you're out on the highway.
I think that is a good rhetorical question we should ask ourselves. Recently I was down in the Akron area on I-277 headed on over to Lodi. I noted the weigh station was open and the sign the ALL HAZMAT trucks had to stop. As I rolled by the station, the propane tanker behind me didn't pull in it. As I watched a little more closely he seemed to be weaving between the lanes. I pulled off and called 911 to report the tanker. I don't know what happened to the report etc. I simply got back on my way. Maybe the guy was sleepy, maybe he had been drinking, maybe he was a terrorist, maybe he was just momentarily distracted...maybe one of his maybes could get someone hurt.
The poster said 50 mph. Can you give me an example of where that is below the posted speed limit anywhere in Kentucky or Ohio or any other state?
This thread is a clear example of pure bigotry. There was no reason to suspect that van of anything except Driving While Muslim. But all Muslims are terrorists, right?
Shame on me. Your wise @$$ reply in post #17 should have tipped me as to where you where coming from. My bad.
Sticks and stones
may break my bones.
But muslims want us dead.
Buh-bye.
