I have found a scorecard for this match:
http://www.cricketeurope4.net/CRICKETEUROPE/DATABASE/2006/TOURNAMENTS/WCLAMERICAS1/CARDS/CAYUSA.shtml
Apparently Massiah came in at No. 3 and did not carry his bat through the 50 overs as I had previously thought.
I can think of two things:
1. The United States is an English-speaking country? It isn't a Commonwealth country.
2. Canada doesn't do cricket? It is a Commonwealth country.
Seriously, if we look at this issue in another way, believe it or not once upon a time cricket was the premier sport in America, and in particular, New England. Of course this happened long before Babe Ruth was born.
