The United States does cricket? It isn't a Commonwealth country.

'The United States does cricket? It isn't a Commonwealth country.'

Football is only Rugby with a few rule changes - the Brits invented that as well and no-one reckons we should be a commonwealth country to play that.

I can think of two things:

1. The United States is an English-speaking country? It isn't a Commonwealth country.

2. Canada doesn't do cricket? It is a Commonwealth country.

Seriously, if we look at this issue in another way, believe it or not once upon a time cricket was the premier sport in America, and in particular, New England. Of course this happened long before Babe Ruth was born.
