The owner (Mammy whatever) would talk occasionally. They got rid of the stereotypical voice fairly quickly -- or at least the last time I saw her in one.

and the wussyfacation of society continues unabated lets look at people in the 40s and 50s when these cartoons where made they at around 18-20 years old fought and overthrew 3 different countrys that were hell bent on taking over the world saved the jews from extinction revamped the global economy and oversaw one of the largest economic boomtimes in world history all while smoking high tar unfiltered cigarettes they should be emulated not castigated
