[In contrast, the South and the West were booming, creating new pressure on fragile environments and water sources.]

The fragile environment? Here we go again. I would like the author to tell us what America should do to stunt our growth. Should we:

1) Stop all legal and illegal immigration
2) Pass legislation that restricts reproduction via state issued birthing licenses
3) Drown female babies at birth
4) Offer government sponsered sterilization
5) Start deporting illegal immigrants by the millions
6) Move part of the American population to another planet

I will wait for the scientific solution to this funded study.

The fragile environment? Here we go again. I would like the author to tell us what America should do to stunt our growth. Should we:

1) Stop all legal and illegal immigration YES

2) Pass legislation that restricts reproduction via state issued birthing licenses Yes, for anyone who is a net consumer of taxes.

3) Drown female babies at birth NO

4) Offer government sponsered sterilization YES

5) Start deporting illegal immigrants by the millions YES

6) Move part of the American population to another planet Not yet technologically feasible. Needs more study.

ANY MORE QUESTIONS?

Great post. Did I mention that was a great post?

Another good question for them is, "How exactly is the environment "fragile"?" A good share of the southwest is rock, sand and desert flora and fauna. To survive in that harsh environment I'd say the species that live there are anything but fragile.

It's all scare tactics and hype to draw in the sheeple. Most people who read the phrase "fragile environment" in this, or any other, article do so without a critical thought. They just accept it and read on, without realizing they're accepting a ridiculous lie. Another example of a lie repeated often enough becoming truth.
