Good morning, maria. Yes, Imus can certainly be an old fool. I have to tune him out when he goes on about Iraq, which he calls a mess. However, over the years we have mined some really interesting nuggets on the political front from his guests. But, that said, one need not watch and information from other sources is more than welcome.

I didn't even get started on his promotion of Harold Ford jr., calling jr. a great American and the people of Tennessee would be honored to have him for a senator.
Jr. comes from the most corrupt political family in the country. What a fool Imus is.

I'm listening to a woman on Bill Bennett's program. She teaches highschoolers. She says her room is decorated with patriotic materials and the students enter on the first day to Lee Greenwood singing "Proud to be an American." I must say, that gave me a happy little jolt this morning. Oh, and she is not in trouble for doing this. She's in Minnetonka, MN.

That is good news. My granddaughter just started her first year of teaching English in the intercity to grades 10 and 11.
She told them the first day there would be no Ebonics spoken in her classes. I would love to be a fly on the wall.

Good for your granddaughter. I taught in the innercity for a while, Oakland, California. Until then, I loved teaching. Left and went to law school.

Did he really say that? I guess it's not racism for black candidates to win in gerrymandered black districts.

That and his corrupt family. Funny thing, but in Tennessee most of the racist are white Democrats. They just won't vote one way or the other for senator.

Yes, he said that. Also, the next thrust from the left will be that Iran and Nutjob are really no big deal. Thomas said that Nutjob is not Hitler and this is not 1938. Well, duh! Hitler is long dead and it's 2006, but no discussion of any historical parallels in thinking and actions of the loons and the responses thereto.
