It's even simpler than that. An election is a contest between, usually, two people. Vote for the better one. If you're not happy with the choice, get off your can and run yourself.

"... I look for alternative party candidates." Same as voting for a RAT. There is no alternative candidate that will have the majority to get though a conservative agenda.

I've already bagged my limit for this year.
It's a nice one isn't it?

Oh, great ... you tell me that when the polls for our primary close in :27 minutes! :) Just kidding ... excellent point. When it comes to the general election, it is better to get the RINO that might not vote your way than get the RAT who definitely won't vote your way. Staying home is not an option ... that is as good as a vote for a democRAT.

I don't stay home, I look for alternative party candidates. Which may be the same difference.

In California's Gubernatorial Election, I am voting for Ed Noonan, a vote for Ed Noonan is a vote for Ed Noonan, NOT Phil Angelides.

For all you loony couch conservatives, the General Election is not the time to sit home and cry over not having a choice. How far to the left does a Republican nominee have to go before you recoil in horror?

I'll be voting Republican.
But...I think the party/candidates are running a real risk by NOT at
least trying to run up a simple bill for the securing of the borders.
Their total back-burner approach to the border and illegal immigration is
unfortunately the best "depressant" for disillusioning the core constiuents.
I'm a border troll. But I will vote Republican regardless of the current approach.
I'm just afraid that too many Republicans (as is their right) will stay
home thanks to the current Republican snooz-fest.

Agreed. And is logical.
You hold on to what you got, or maybe you lose an inch. You dont LET GO and fall into the chasm.
VOTE REPUBLICAN. The dems would love to pull a Perot whenver they get the chance. Eight years of Bubba because of the suckers that fell for it.
Never again.
To: trooprally
I plan on voting GOP. The alternative is unaffordable at this time

Under the "vote for Perot, and watch Clinton get elected " theory of politics, I suppose ...

I don't stay home, I look for alternative party candidates. For the most part, a distinction without a difference, IMHO...
