Are we still doomed? That's the real question.

According to Hydroshock and ex-texan the world is coming to an end any day now...or is it next year??? Either way, since a few idiots took out larger mortgages than they can afford, the rest of us ARE DOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED...

I'm not impressed. Wait until the price drops below $33 a gallon then the celebration will begin. Because all it takes is one scent of middle east trouble, and the price will skyrocket in one day what it's taken months to drop. This drop is bullsh*t. Crumbs to the peons, namely the consumers.

"My first gallon of gas cost 25 cents."

I remember when my father would give the gas station attendant $5 to fill the tank on our Chevy Malibu ... and he would get change back.

That dastardly Karl Rove! This is being done to lull the sheeple to sleep before the election! /DUmmie mode

I overheard a coworker say this exact thing this morning.

...yet the stock market remains down. Investors react quickly enough when oil prices go up, though.

I just filled up at Wal-Mart for $2.49 a gallon.

I remember complaining like a madman at 50 cents a gallon. Of course, my slant 6 Valiant was getting 20mpg on the hiway. If you have a 6banger getting that little on the hiway now, you would send it for repairs.

Yep, prices drop just in time for the Fall elections. That just illustrates the close relationship between the GOP & "Big Oil" (sarcasm)

But But... the newspaper today said the oil find in the Gulf wouldn't effect oil and gas prices.

Read the third paragraph from the Al AP story in the Tampa Tribune.

I remember me and my buddies pooling our change and getting enough gas to drive around all weekend.
Steel some beers from our dads and we had a real party.
Wish we could have meet some girls. I guess that would have been better.

In November of 1963, I bought a 1984 Chevelle Malibu Super Sport, the first year they were manufactured, off the dealer showroom floor in Norfolk. I paid sticker price for the 283 V8 with high compression heads and dual exhaust. They called it the Power Pack. Sticker price? $3290.00.
